Hi Animal Lovers,

Welcome to my new blog!  Those of us who love animals enjoy sharing our stories with other animal lovers, the idea of this blog is to share stories about our animal friends.  Even though one of my books is called 'Your Talking Pet', I do not like the word 'pet' as it smacks of condescension, I prefer to think of them as my animal friends.  Let me know what you think about this.  Our animal friends, like my Mr Mistoffelees, are so much more than a 'pet', he is my guru and my soulmate in fur.  A very powerful personality as you can see from his photo.  You will be able to read more about him in my book in preparation 'The Power Of The Cat'.Mr Mistoffelees

Thank you Anne for such wonderfully inspiring stories and insights on your blog. They help us all to understand our animal friends a little better. You, like the animals, truly are a light from God that illuminates a path for us humans to follow. Your work is much needed on the planet. I love my dog and two cats, all from rescue, with all my heart and they couldn't repay me more than they do with their love and loyalty, and the healing i receive from them every day. Keep doing what you're doing. Bless you!

Dear Ann, A very good website and I love reading your blogs. Morty reminds me so much of my first australian dog Ruphus, a dog I loved beyond words.Last summer you got the kitten Lily from me and I have since had many updates from you about her progress. Ruth, your daugther, also took home little Zeus and I consider these two very lucky cats indeed. It was an honour to get to know you and to know that one of my cats will be made famous in your new book. Always an admirer Ingrid of Ingrid's Haven for Cats

Dear Ann, I very much enjoyed reading your latest blogs and thoughts on working animals. What a lovely picture of Morty with the hat!And Tara too. I'm wondering if Morty managed to detach your hat from the chair without pulling the chair over? I've had many cats in the past who have earned their keep (?) by bringing me delicious (in their minds) assorted love gifts of birds, lizards and mice, mostly deposited carefully on the doormat for my inspection and admiration. Shebani, my Persian, also excelled in the art of capturing moths that had flown into the house. Any circling too high up for him to reach required me to hoist him up in order that he could catch them. A great game for him and he probably saved my clothes from many a moth attack too! My Daniel Spaniel is not so clever in the moth department. His daily job is fetching in the newspaper every morning. This he has done ever since he was a very young pup. Quite a feat of endurance considering how big and bulky both sections of Saturday's Age can be!

I've just read your new blog and I have to say I agree with you. My friend Star is helpful in that he, too, will pick up anything I ask him to do. However, I would like to share with you a true story about the time he lost his collar. My husband had taken him for a walk and returned home to discover the collar was missing, but as it was, by that time, too dark for him to go back to look for it, we considered it lost. The following morning I took him for a walk in the same place my husband had taken him the night before and said "Go find your collar". It took him all of 30 seconds to do just that. How's that for a clever pal?

Hi Ann. What a beautiful site you have set up. So good to see there are like minded people who respect and care for their pets like we do too. Your blog is great as it is attracting only those gentle people who genuinely care for theri special friends ( as you know that's how I prefer to call our cats, dogs, bunnies, horses, donkeys etc that share our lives and put up with us. Honoured to be linked with your site if you would like and think appropriate.

Ann, Congratulations on your new blog. I am delighted to have learned about you and all your wonderful books (which I will be adding to my reading list!). I look forward to reading your story "Time Away." I also believe that animals have souls, and I have experienced seeing that divine spark that you talk about in all my cats over the years--Noelle, Tatianna, Taittinger, Marnie, Katarina and Lexie Lee. Thank you and I will be back! Linda Mohr,

Hi Ann, what a lovely blog. Obviously you are attracting like-minded souls. I truly believe we are sometimes blessed with angels in fur form. That has been my personal experience anyway. Faranth, my first Saluki, changed my life and path. BTW, Salukis, as dogs, are very cat-like! Many blessinsg to you and your fur family

I often wonder if angels sometimes manifest as cats. They are such beautiful creatures. I always love to hear about them. I'm lucky to have 3 of them share my life, and my desk with me.

I wish I owned a pet. My dog owns me! Mind you that's not so bad. He gives me love and loyalty and (occasionally) obedience and in return I look after his physical needs, but when it comes to ownership, there's no way he'd stand for that. Love your Mr. Mistoffelees. I'll bet you don't own him either.

Dear Anne, what a lovely blog! I love your intro. about the role animals play in your life. I am going to look at more sections soon, it is so attractive and inviting too. I would love to have an 'audience' with Mr M. in person, but as that sadly is not very likely, give him my regards and best wishes, and if it is not being too familiar to such a distinguished cat, a kiss as well : ) Will check in regularly here, with blessings to you and yours... xx Anne, Lily & Molly.
